Market
Trail Days
Special
events are planned for each month. The Market Trail includes arts
and craft booths, flea markets, fine art shows, a 100-mile yard
sale, birding tours, trail rides, historical research and wildflower

Medina
County Relay for Life
Sponosored
by the Medina Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the Relay
is held annually at the Warhorse Stadium in Devine. Relay teams
are composed of businesses, whole families, groups of friends and
acquaintances. The teams raise money that is turned in at the relay.
The Relay kicks off at 7 p.m. with a Survivors Walk around the track.
After that walk, the teams take to the track and continue to walk
until 7 a.m. Throughout the night, festivities are taking place
on the football field and educational information is being displayed.
Devine
Fall Festival
(First Saturday in November)
The
Greater Devine Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Devine Fall
Festival, which is held the first Saturday in November. The day
begins with an annual parade, with the festival following. The Festival
is held at the Devine Community Center and Bank of Texas parking
lot. There are arts and craft booths, exhibits, game booths, food
booths and live entertainment. A carnival is open Thursday through
Sunday. Street dances are held. For more information, contact the

Devine
Public Pool
The
Devine Public Pool is located adjacent to the Golf Course at 116
Malone. Swimming lessons are held yearly for children ages 4 and
up. The lessons are administered by certified lifeguards. For information
on swimming lessons, renting the pool for private parties and other
activities, call 663-2804 (city office).
St.
Joseph Catholic Church and Festival (Historical
Marker)
St.
Joseph Catholic Church was estabished in 1897 by Father Mathias
Metzinger.
The original bell which originally hung in the old wood-frame church
is now hanging in the steeple of this limestone church which was
erected in 1922. A historical marker was unveiled and dedicated
on October 5, 1997. The annual parish picnic is held annually on
the first Saturday of October.
The
Big Foot Wallace Museum
This
museum, which opened in 1954, boasts a cabin that is an exact replica
of Texas legend "Bigfoot" Wallace's home. Rooms were later
added to house the numerous items of interest donated by people
interested in preserving the heritage of Texas. Next door to the
museum is a replica of the building where the Texas Declaration
of Independence was signed at Washington-on-the-Brazos. Inside are
antique wagons and buggies and clothes of the past. The museum is
open by appointment and on the second Saturday of each month. Please
